Round Steak | 1.5 lbs |
Soy Sauce | 1/4 cup |
Onion | 1 |
Minced garlic | 1 clove |
Sugar | 1 tsp |
Ground Ginger | 1/4 tsp |
Stewed tomatoes | 15 oz can |
Green Bell Peppers | 2 |
Beef Bouillon cubes | 1 |
Cornstarch | 1 tbsp |
Pre-Cook (10 minutes)
- Slice the Onion(s)
- Core, seed and julienne the bell peppers
- Combine the following in a bowl
- Soy Sauce
- Onion
- Garlic
- Sugar
- Ginger
Cooking (7 hours and 15 minutes)
- Slice beef in strips
- Brown strips in skillet (medium heat) with a little oil (about 15 minutes) and place in Slow Cooker
- Pour mixture above over beef
- Cover and cook on low for 5.5 hours
- Stir the following into Slow Cooker
- Bouillon cube
- Bell peppers
- Tomatoes
- Cover and cook for 1 hour
- Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup water
- Stir into Slow Cooker
- Cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes (or until sauce thickens)
- Serve over rice
